Do I need Claude Code already installed & authenticated?
Preferred, but if you don't have Claude Code installed, Claudius will try to guide you through the installation process. This process should get easier with later versions.
Is this official Anthropic software?
No, Claudius is an independent project built by a single developer. It's not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic.
Is Claudius free?
Yes.

A Personal Project
Disclaimer: Claudius is built by one guy. It's a project that I was building to solve my own problems & improve my workflow, but after posting an early screenshot on Twitter it seems like there were a lot of other people out there who felt similarly.
Claudius' long term mission is a massive task, and it's currently just a fun side project for me (my day job is at Sentry). I'm not sure how long it will take to get to a stable release, but I'm working on it.
